Friends of the School – Come and join us! 

The “Friends of the Kaingaroa School” group exists to provide a link between the school and our parents, families and caregivers. The aim is for all our families to become involved in school activities & fundraising with the added bonus of making friends so that all our children get the most out of their educational and social opportunities while they are at Kaingaroa School.

We work alongside the teachers in assisting them with many social and sporting events throughout the school year, such as our camps, discos, and cross country runs.

Although the Friends are not only about fundraising, this is an important part of what we do, so that we can add value to the resources already available within the school budget as well as providing extra materials and equipment, academic or otherwise. The major fundraising event of the year is the Gala, which is usually held in Term 3 every 2nd year.

We are a friendly group who meet two or three times a term in a relaxed, informal environment. Parents, family members and caregivers are assured of a warm welcome and we encourage you to join us and get involved.
