YEAR 4 CHROMEBOOK PURCHASING SCHEME

At Kaingaroa School we want to provide your child with an equitable, high quality and engaging education. We offer all of our Year 4 students with an opportunity to buy their own chromebook through the 2020 Far North ICT Trust.

Purchasing a Chromebook:

To ensure this is accessible to all whanau the Trust offer many plans and payment option to suit. These include:

• Paying the full amount
• Payment through Finance Now (1-3 year options)
• Payment through the 2020 Far North ICT Trust (for possible credit issues)
• We can also provide a letter for financial support from Work and Income

What do I get when I purchase a chromebook?

All chromebooks come with three years of no excess insurance, white gloving onto our school network, a carry case and charger. The insurance covers two repairs as well as one complete replacement if the device is lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair.

Taking devices home:

When chromebooks are purchased, student's leave their device at school until whanau attend our Kawa of Care Hui offered once per term. The purpose of this hui is to insure whanau are aware of how to take care of the device and make sure their child is participating safely online at home.
