Piwakawaka Whanau

Everyday I come to school is not the same as the day before. That is the best part of being a teacher. I have had that privilege for more than twenty years. I have taught in every area of the primary levels and my absolute favourite is the five year olds. I enjoy their freshness and their openness to learning and everything they bring with that. When I’m not at school I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring different places in our beautiful country.

Elise Broadwith

Year 5,6 & 7 Teacher

Kotare Whanau

It has been my privilege to teach at primary school level for around 16 years. In my role as a teacher I try to apply the three ‘F’s rule: friendly, firm and fair. I encourage students to hard work, believe in themselves, and support them to develop the dispositions for learning that will help them lead a more successful life, such as developing good communication skills, building positive relationships with others and learning from mistakes.

In my leisure time I enjoy reading, being active, spending time with friends and family, and generally enjoying life!
